6 Ways to Level Up in Your Career

This past week, we were on a sales blitz in Tallahassee, Florida, with a group of 20 people. We had veterans along with a lot of new and less experienced representatives in our industry. The whole week consisted of sales training, including such topics as the importance of a positive mindset and achieving top production.

The energy at this event was very positive and I know that everybody left ready to take their business to the next level. I’m excited to see what the future holds for all who were there.

When we talk about going to the next level, we are talking about growth. It’s important that, in life, we never get stagnant. No matter what levels we achieve, we should always strive to improve and grow. One thing for sure is that what worked for you to get you to one level will not get you to the next.

Each phase of our life requires a different you. If you want to get to the next level, you’ll have to make a few changes which will help you get there.

The first step is to take inventory of where you are right now. What habits do you have and which of those habits do you need to change?

Going to the next level requires consistency. The more consistent we can be with positive habits, the more likely we are to stick with them and reach next level success.

Begin by making a commitment to wake up early and start your day off positively. Get into a routine of eating healthy, along with exercising in the morning. Go for a walk and have good, quiet time where you can meditate. I believe it’s important to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night so, while you are making a commitment to wake up early, make sure you are going to bed at a reasonable time.

It’s important also to have a plan of success. Every Monday morning, check in with yourself about where you are and what your goals are for the week. Get yourself some like-minded people with whom you can have early morning meetings to discuss your goals. By doing this, you will find that the encouragement you receive will help you in achieving these intentions.

Getting yourself to the next level also requires surrounding yourself with people who are already where you want to be in life. Take inventory of your circle of influence. If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are probably in the wrong room. Hang around people that force you to level up. Create a winner’s circle.

It’s important to have a role model also. The good thing about taking your business to the next level is that others have done it before you. If you get to a point in your day where you find yourself unfocused, ask yourself “What would my role model do in this situation?”  When you are feeling unmotivated or not wanting to do something, imagine what your role model would do. The key is to find out the success plan that they have and model your plan after theirs.

Finally, make every second count. So many people waste time doing unproductive things like watching TV and being on social media too long. Stop wasting time! Make sure you are spending your time positively, doing things that are going to help you get to the next level. Read books, listen to motivational videos, and make a commitment to go after your dreams.

It’s time to go to the next level, are you ready? It’s an exciting thing when you make that commitment. You can do this. This is your time!

Have a fantastic week!
