Following the Smile

Passion is a very strong word. One definition—a strong and barely controllable emotion.

Next definition—emotion…a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from circumstance, mood or person.

Using the above definition of passion helped me realize that my purpose has always been with me. A simple statement given to me by someone, don’t remember (explanation at another time). What makes you smile? What makes you happy?

I have had one circumstance that created a very strong passion response and a big happy dance: seeing an incest victim become a survivor by believing the abuse wasn’t her fault. The rest of the time, as I share my story and see lives change, I smile big when I get a thank-you.

What is tugging at your heart causing you to smile? Maybe it’s a long-standing dream or something you like doing.

Keep track of what makes you smile for the next few days, and you will find your purpose.
