I Want To Get WASTED

I know what you’re thinking. This is supposed to be motivation? There’s no way that can be the title of this week’s motivation…Well, I definitely did get your attention, didn’t I?

Yes, this is the title of this week’s motivation, and I have to give credit where credit is due. This came from an inspiration that was sent to me by my daughter’s boyfriend, Justin. Can you imagine what I was thinking when I got a text from him about getting wasted?

Of course, as you probably know, I am speaking about a different kind of wasted. I changed it up a little bit and after hearing this entire message, I’m hoping YOU will be ready to get wasted too. Let’s get right to it.

W ake up early.

I have been preaching about this for a long time now. In order to have a productive day, get a head start on everyone else. You will be amazed how less stressful your life will be when you wake up early in the morning. I know for some of you this would be a drastic change. Try it sometime and start the day off positive. It’s amazing what you can get accomplished in the morning while everyone else is still sleeping.

A nticipate a productive day.

This is all about your attitude. Wake up with a positive mental attitude and get ready for an exciting, positive, and productive day. Map out what kind of day you’re going to have and visualize yourself having a super successful one. It all starts with the mindset.

S et some positive goals for the day.

Write out some positive goals that you would like to accomplish for the day. These could be very simple. Set a goal to smile throughout the day and greet every person you meet with a positive attitude. Be an encouragement to others, and make it a goal that each person you have an encounter with will have a better day just because they met you. Yes, you can make a difference.

T hink positive.

Understand that throughout the day, you may have some challenges. Don’t let anything get you down. Make a commitment that no matter what happens or whatever comes your way, you will be super positive. If any negative thoughts creep in, zap them immediately. Replace any negative thoughts with positive ones. Make sure that your self-talk is super positive.

E xercise

For those of you who are already on a good exercise plan, I say to you “nicely done, keep it up.” Let me encourage all of you to get your body moving. If this is something that’s new for you, start today and start small. Go for a walk. Do a few push-ups, sit-ups, and jumping jacks. Get into the routine of exercising and you will be grateful for the amount of energy this brings to you. You only have one earthly body, make sure you take care of it.

D on’t stay up too late.

I have found that in order to be productive each day, I need a certain amount of sleep. If I go to bed too late and wake up at my normal time, I’m going to be dragging throughout the day. I found that I need seven hours of sleep. Each one of us is different. Make sure you are getting the proper amount of sleep.

There you have it. As you see, this is a positive kind of “wasted”.  So my motivational question for the week is—Who is ready to get WASTED?

Have a super fantastic week!
