Inspiration Comes in Many Forms

Inspiration is to feel influenced or impelled. People can be inspired in many different ways. We can become inspired just by looking at a picture. An artist can look at nature and be inspired to paint. A musician can listen to music and be inspired to write a song. Being inspired is the easy part but committing to seeing your inspiration through is the hard part. When we become inspired, the most important thing to do is to get moving. This week I would like to share some helpful hints to not only get you inspired but to keep you inspired.

1) Read a book.

This is one area that I know I need work on so I am preaching to myself here also. Reading increases our intelligence level and our ability to comprehend words and ideas. Read books that are inspiring and uplifting. Find books that have very positive success stories. Biographies can be very inspiring. Find stories of people that have overcome obstacles and challenges in life and they’ve decided that rather than becoming a victim, they would achieve victory.

2) Listen to motivational speakers.

Find speakers that have enthusiasm, energy, knowledge, and those that lead by example. Whenever you have the opportunity, find these type of speakers and watch them live. With technology today, you can also get on YouTube and find many motivational speakers that will inspire you. Imagine if you were to make the commitment to do this daily. Rather than listening to all the garbage that’s on TV, fill your mind with success teachings that will help you achieve your dreams.

3) Read about someone else’s accomplishments.

When you read about other people’s success, the inspiration will come when you find out about what they did, how they did it, why they did it, and most importantly, the obstacles that they overcame to get it done. You will find that there is no shortcut to success. The success stories that you will read about will show the tenacity and perseverance that people are willing to go through in order to get their goals completed. This will get you motivated to start something for yourself and to be in the same league as the person who inspired you. Your attitude now becomes, “If they can do it, I can do it too.”

4) Share with others.

Having an open discussion with people that are close to you and care about you will allow you to see or hear of different perspectives that you would not have thought about yourself.

Also, keep in mind, it’s very important that you share with others that are rooting for you. You will want to make sure that you are surrounding yourself with people that are encouraging. Do not listen to naysayers. Don’t allow people to bring you down. Find the people that are in life where you want to be and share your dreams with them. Listen to their stories. You will find them inspiring. They will encourage you to keep marching forward.

5) Have a mentor who is successful.

As many people have said, there is no point in reinventing the wheel. The same is true when you are speaking about your passions and inspirations. I see this also many times in this business. Many people try to reinvent the wheel or they try to find a shortcut to becoming successful. Please remember this. The system that we have developed here at Retriever Merchant Solutions is a proven success method. I am living proof of that myself. Find someone in this business that is successful, get to know them, and ask them to mentor you. You will be amazed at how much you can accomplish in a short amount of time because you asked someone to show you the ropes. There are several people who have gone through all of the difficulties and they would be delighted to share that knowledge with you and make it easier for you. Make a decision to take the step to find someone who is very successful and then find inspiration from them.

These are five awesome, but also very simple and effective ways, to find inspiration. We need to have inspiration daily. Make a commitment each and every day to find ways that will keep you inspired.

Aspire to inspire before you expire!

Have an inspirational week!
