Pastor Slyther’s accomplishments:
Started percussion at age 10
Has played over 150 parades and placed in State Competition in 1975, 1976, and 1977.
Played in advanced band and marching band in 8 years of school as well as garage bands from high school on.
Has played with musicians up and down the East Coast.
Worked as a Rigger for all the National bands that came thru Richmond, VA, such as Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynrd and many more….
John Henry Harvey’s accomplishments:
At 10 years of age was in the band Tombstones
At age 16, Fluvanna County Drummer of The Year
Vocalist awards—first place Rock Fast, First place County Fast
Vocal Sony Awards 1998
Has played over 1000 gigs at the local VA
Gospel Award Male Vocalist over 50, Gospel Singer of the year
N.A.C.M.A.I. 2016
Nominated for Gospel song of the year 2016 J.M.A. at Shermerhorn Symphony Hall Nashville, Tennessee
Wrote and performed the song Sparrow for Pete Delorenso’s major motion picture “The Mentor”
Has toured and written music his entire life
Pastor Slyther and John Harvey met at the Late Great Cory Smoots Recording Studio (lead guitarist of GWAR) and quickly realized their chemistry in songwriting and playing music. They formed Slyther in 2010 and have not looked back since.
