I want to start out today by saying that I truly believe in you. Whoever brought you into this industry saw something they felt you have inside that will help you become successful. I am rooting for you. I want to provide everything I possibly can to help you succeed.
I think about how it was when I first started in the industry and it was completely different. We didn’t get the support. I started out at very low pay and did not learn anything about receiving residuals till after years of being in the business. Never will I complain about that, I’m just truly thankful I was introduced to this company.
Everything that I speak about in this industry is from my own experience. This is not a typical business in which the leaders tell you exactly what you need to do but they do not do it themselves. The reason we have success is because we lead by example.
In almost 19 years being in this business, I can honestly say that I am still learning. I have not arrived, and I look to continue to grow and become better.
What does it take to have true success in the direct sales industry? It takes a 100% commitment. No matter what happens, you have to be committed to apply yourself daily and never give up. Yes, there were times in the beginning where I questioned if this business was really for me. Thankfully, I have made the commitment and never looked back.
I know what it’s like to be broke. I know what it’s like to be in debt. I know what it’s like to go through difficult times, and I know what it’s like to go through devastating times. I have always made the commitment to never make excuses. I know that if I work hard daily with a positive attitude, I’m going to get positive results.
This business is absolutely incredible. I am extremely grateful and never take this opportunity for granted. I am committed to helping people become successful in this company as long as they have the determination to do so. I laughingly told someone today that it took me 19 years to become an overnight success.
We have a slogan that we always say here with RMS, “It keeps getting better.” You will hear many of our representatives repeat that phrase because it is so true in their lives.
If you really want to have success in this industry, it is imperative that you are in daily contact with people who are in life where you want to be. If you are new in the business, reach out to your trainer daily. Ask questions. Learn new things about the industry. Keep growing. Be accountable and speak to someone at the end of each day to find out what you need work on most.
The resources we have now with RMS, and especially within our group, are right there are at your fingertips. Watch the shows, review the training videos, read the motivations, and get involved and be part of the winning team. Your attitude will determine your success. Make a commitment to treat this as a full-time opportunity and work overtime. Leave your house at 7 a.m. and be in the field by 9 a.m. or earlier. Work till 4 p.m. or longer if necessary and be home on an average by 6 p.m. This is what I have been doing for 19 years and still do today—not because I need to, but because I LOVE to. And I want to make sure that I am in tune with this business, so I am available and can teach others to do exactly what I do.
