SAN DIEGO WEEKEND TRIPPERS-TRY FIRST FRIDAY

Started only in August, First Friday in downtown San Diego has quickly caught on.  Oct 4th, they will be featuring nine downtown venues. San Diego East Village is divided into four quadrants so no matter which month you go, it will always be a rotating event.  Tailored Hair for Men is the main sponsor this month, along with the Bean Bar Coffee shop, Make pizza+salad, along with Rize Yoga Studio, and Original Grain high-end watches.  Wild Dove Boutique featuring women’s clothes; Quartyard, a new Beer Garden; and WhipHand, a new 24-hour tap beer bank will be in this month’s roster.

A tour guide will move you from place to place, but you can linger as long as you wish. East Village has exploded in the years since I lived in San Diego, it is thriving with restaurants, taverns, breweries, coffee shops, art galleries, and all manner of unique places to visit.

Headlining again this time is Tavern and Bowl East Village which is actually a bowling alley, restaurant and bar. I’ve eaten there in San Diego, Scottsdale, and North County, and the greatest hostess that runs group sales is Robin Spencer.  She can book a party for you anytime.  They are only three blocks from the Padres Stadium. The First Friday group moves from venue to venue, or you can catch up anytime you wish.  Please make reservations through Eventbrite.

If you can’t come out in October, jump on board for the November event.
