What Is Holding You Back From Success?

You have this great opportunity staring at you right in the face, and you know in your heart that this opportunity will allow you to live a life that you have always dreamed of. How do you know? You know because you see other people accomplishing great things and their talent level is no better than yours.

On my journey, I have learned that there is no such thing as an overnight success. People that are successful in life did so by their daily choices. I’m talking about simple habits that add up over a period of time, one step and one day at a time.

A person who wants to have great success must take their personal development seriously. You will find that successful people always are striving for continuous improvement.

The bottom line is, having success is all about having daily positive habits. If you want to have more success in your life, you have to start by changing your day.

So let’s get back to the question, what is holding you back from success? Let’s take a look at some habits or lack of habits that may be holding you back. Once we have recognized them, let’s make a commitment to make a positive change.

1) Lack of a morning routine

So many people in life do not have a plan. They wake up late and their precious morning moments are spent in a rush just doing whatever it takes to get out the door and on their way.

If you want to have success, how you start your day is important. Design a morning routine that will help you grow physically and mentally. You can start small but most importantly, start now. Make a commitment to wake up earlier so you are not rushing around. Have 15 minutes of quiet time. Spend this time in gratitude. Exercise is important. For me, I love waking up early. I have a positive morning routine that sets the day up for success.

2) Self-doubt

Keep in mind, everyone goes through difficulties in life. The problem is that many people facing challenges immediately start doubting themselves.

You are designed for success. When you encounter unexpected setbacks, remind yourself every day of your strengths. Don’t focus on your weaknesses. Believe in yourself and your abilities and you will have success.

3) Wasting time

So many people in life focus on being busy rather than being productive. We all have the same amount of time in the day, the question is… how do you spend that time?

Decide each morning the top three things that need to be done that day. Set a time to focus on just one thing without being interrupted or distracted. Time is your capital, invest in the right places.

4) Focusing too much on past failures

Too many people have allowed past failures to define them. Unfortunately, they have developed a victim mentality. Living in the past, especially in the mistakes, is not a good place to be.

Please understand that every person goes through failures in life. Every success story is filled with a lot of setbacks and failures. Successful people do not stay there though, they learn from their failures and they move on. Learn to develop habits and the mindset to find the many benefits of a setback.

5) Procrastination

Procrastination is the thief of all time. I have encountered many people in my life that have great intentions. They may have written out all of their goals and they will tell stories of what they are going to do—tomorrow or next week or next month, or when all the stars line up perfectly.

There is no better time than now. Yes, you may be encountering some fears or you may be concerned about failing, That’s okay. Start anyway and start right now.

The time that we have here is very short and it goes by fast. You have Incredible opportunities right in front of you, don’t waste any more time. Make the decision to start today. Do it with gratitude and don’t look back. Remember, you are designed for success. I believe in you.

Have a successful week!
