What’s Your Definition of Success?

I believe in my heart that if you were to ask most people if they wanted to become successful, the majority of people would respond with a “yes.”

First of all, we have to define what success really is. Success is simply the accomplishment of an aim or a goal. People will define success differently according to what their goals are. For some people, success is financial and for others success means the joy that’s received for achieving the goal. Everyone has their own personal definition.

The road to success certainly is not paved gold. I can guarantee that there will be many struggles along the way and there will be times when you feel like throwing in the towel. The satisfaction received from success depends on how much hard work we put into the task. After a struggle, when you do achieve success, it feels as if you have earned it and there’s a sense of pride that comes with that.

When it comes to success, the first thing we have to do is decide what it is that we really want to accomplish. It’s important to have a clear, specific goal. You must have a clear focus about what you want to do. Once you have defined that, it’s time to make the commitment to do what it takes to achieve that goal. I’m talking about a full commitment, where you put all your energy into it. This means, no matter what happens, you are never going to give up.

Now keep in mind, we are all human beings. We all, in some form or another, will experience our own insecurities and self-doubt. The key is to never allow that to stop you from accomplishing your goals and dreams. The reality is that giving up seems like an easier option rather than getting out of your comfort zone. You must stay strong and positive while you are working towards your goal during these times. Your commitment level will give you incredible strength and self-confidence which will push you harder to work towards that goal.

We all have a past and we’ve all experienced failures in our lives, don’t ever let your mistakes define you. Use these failures as learning experiences so you never repeat the same mistakes. The success journey is not a sprint, you will find that it truly is a marathon. Keep setting new goals and keep constantly growing, doing so will keep you motivated to achieve true success.

Find the people who are in life where you want to be. Successful people have life tips on how to become successful. They can help you customize your plan and help you find what brings you true joy and happiness.

If you haven’t done this already, break out a sheet of paper and pen and write down your definition of success. Make a commitment to do what it takes to achieve your amazing goals and dreams. Life is too short to settle, there’s something big out there waiting for you. It’s time for you to decide to go get it, you’re worth it!

Have a week full of success!
