5 Ways to Hold Yourself Accountable

So many people in life talk about their hopes and dreams but, unfortunately, many put those ambitions on hold. The main problem is that they procrastinate.

All of us are designed with a purpose and we have been given the talent to achieve our dreams. The key is to take steps to make those dreams become reality. This is why it’s important to find ways to hold ourselves accountable. Accountability will keep us striving towards our goals and will keep us consistent.

Today, I’m going to encourage you to start taking these necessary actions to be accountable to your intentions.

1) Commit to a schedule

Achieving success does not happen by accident. It is important that we put a plan into place and put together a schedule that is going to help us achieve our goals.

It is vital that you set the schedule and make a 100% commitment to it. Your schedule should set specific and time-oriented objectives.

2) Set small goals

It is important to have a big dream but you also want to make sure that you are setting small, daily goals in order to achieve that dream. Hold yourself accountable by making it as easy as possible to take small steps towards achieving your big goal.

Progress and accountability go hand-in-hand. If you see yourself making progress, you’ll be less likely to become overwhelmed feeling that your dream is too big. Achieving small goals helps you to achieve your long-term goals.

3) Celebrate the small wins

On your success journey, take some time to celebrate each success that you have. This is an important part of holding yourself accountable because it helps you to stay focused. Each win helps to build your confidence.

4) Get an accountability partner

It’s important not to be a lone ranger during this process. Make sure you choose the correct accountability partner that will help you. I am talking about someone who is committed to helping you reach your goals and at the same time, you can help them.

Find someone who’s in life where you want to be or where you are going. Make sure your accountability partner is reliable and truly committed.

5) Review your progress.

Take the time to regularly review the goals that you have set for yourself. This is a chance to check on your overall progress. You can see how far you’ve come and, if you’re not where you want to be, this will give you the motivation to level up.

Find the areas where you can improve and make the commitment to keep growing.

Accountability is definitely a big part of your success journey. Anytime you set a goal, it’s important to take the steps necessary to achieve it. Holding yourself accountable means deeply embracing the reasons why you are doing what you are doing. Make that 100% commitment and hold yourself accountable. Believe me, it’s worth it! You can do this!

Have a super fantastic week!
