The Mind
Is…
It real or an illusion?
The mind wonders.
I…
See through the lenses
Of what I know to be true.
But…
Is it solid truth, or
Perhaps a truth, with variance
In what has been presented.
Do…
I hear with full attention,
So it rings with intended truths?
Or…
Does my mind’s eye wander,
Just relaying bits and pieces?
Is…
The illusion a mirage of the
Mind playing tricks?
How…
Do I know what is real and what
Is my imagined certainty?
The…
Pathways of the mind are not
Set in stone.
They are flexible and shift,
As the information highway becomes
Well traveled.
We…
Think, therefore, thoughts
Come alive.
Flitting here and there.
Gathering steam, building upon
Each other.
Until…
There is a solid foundation
From which it sprouts.
However…
Is this foundation really strong,
Or has it been poorly poured,
Leaving a surface weak and ready to crack.
The potential for a tumbling of the structure above?
The…
Mind is powerful, beyond
Comprehension.
Unless it is tamed with precision,
To uphold the knowledge gained as
Sacred,
It may wander, always seeking.
Truths…
And more truths, until the questions
Become more than the mind can handle.
Shhhh…
Quiet the mind, it whispers.
Gently asking for some space.
To guide and channel the energies
Of the world,
For the chance to show what is
Meant to be seen.
In…
The stillness is when the
Truth is revealed.
In…
The moment is when the
Unknown can be exposed.
In…
The pause is when
Time can collect and organize
All that is
Important for the mind
To be at peace in the now.
Rest, regroup, then gather up the pieces. Look into the heart of the mind and let the truth set you free.
The mind is like water. When it’s turbulent, it’s difficult to see. When it’s calm, everything becomes clear.
