A Simple Truth About Friendship

Don’t know much about being a friend. But today I got a hug from a young man who, at times, doesn’t like to be touched. I had lent him $3 and he was repaying me. He asked how I was and I said, “I just don’t know how to do friendship.” “That’s good,” he said, “they just die.” “What do you need?” was his question. His hug was solid. Then the gal at the Burger King drive-thru said I was looking a lot better; I thanked her.

The moral to the story: Don’t get hung up about those who don’t love you. You may miss the ones who do.

Enough for today… love and appreciation.
