Another night of out and about in fascinating and constant action Las Vegas. Greenspun Media invited some of the concierges and media writers out to both a new restaurant and an old one at Virgin Hotels.
We started out in two groups as there were close to 80 of us, and the first up was newly created Kassi which sits right on the edge of the pool. Open, airy, filled with plenty of plants and bamboo accessories, the long couches can accommodate any size group. The bar holds about 14 and we started there with a great drink and the first round of appetizers, which were meatballs and stuffed olives.
Sitting by the pool, which of course in the coming months will needs lots of fans to keep us cool, the patrons were all happy to see this new place with quite a varied menu.
After an hour we switched out with the other half of the group and were treated to Night & Market on the other side of the casino; I’ve eaten there a couple of times in the past. With chef Kris Yenbamroong making some of his famous dishes we started out with a wine tasting of a light wine, smooth and tasty. He proceeded to bring out dishes, each for four persons to share. Grilled beef, a spicy lettuce-like wrap, great chicken wings, and more.
We were seated at a long table on an upper deck. Back around they came with a second selection of wine and we were not left hungry. Virgin Hotels has numerous restaurants and we couldn’t have been happier with this event! Stop by next time in town—located on Paradise and not the strip. It was formerly Hard Rock Hotel.
