What Are Your Plans for 2020? Part 4

This has been an incredible topic; one that’s very near and dear to my heart. You can have the best in life, it’s up to you. All you have to do is make a decision and put a plan into place.

We have been breaking down the verse Jeremiah 29:11. For the last several weeks, we’ve been covering in full detail the phrase, “Plans to prosper.“ It’s exciting to know that there is a plan for our lives as long as we follow it.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve discussed the importance of putting a financial plan together. We began by setting a goal to become more organized, and we also talked about making the decision to become debt-free. Once you are debt-free, you will feel the peace and excitement of having freedom. This is where you can get truly excited about building wealth. Yes, you can have financial abundance and you can have the life that you’ve always dreamed about.

This week, we are going to wrap up this topic on the word “prosper”. There is a phrase that Dave Ramsey uses which has so much validity to it; it goes like this, “Live like no one else, so later you can live and give like no one else.” What does that sentence truly mean? Well, most people unfortunately live above their means. They are way too busy trying to impress people they don’t know and people that maybe they don’t even like. They get into debt by using credit, big car payments, and they purchase homes they cannot afford. When you live like no one else in the beginning, you are making a decision that you are no longer going to live this way. You are committed to becoming debt-free, paying your mortgage off early, and building long-term wealth.

It’s tough in the beginning and a complete behavioral change, but it is definitely worth it. Once you get through this stage, you now can begin to live like no one else. What a great place in life to be! This leads me to my final topic for the word “prosper”

Be a Cheerful Giver

To me, this truly defines what joy and happiness is all about. This is a huge part of your success plan. It’s been my experience that there is no better feeling than the joy of giving.

Many of you have heard me state that we are all blessed to be a blessing. How true that is! The success and the financial rewards are not just about getting things for ourselves. Sure, it’s nice to live a life of abundance but remember—much is given, much is expected. When you have the blessings to be able to give to organizations, churches, families, etc., the rewards that you receive are not only joyful here, but we are also storing up treasures eternally.

You have the opportunity to make an incredible difference in so many people’s lives. This is never about greed or getting too much. This is all about helping and blessing other people. The joy and the rewards are absolutely incredible.

My hope and prayer for each and every one of you is for you to understand that you are designed for greatness; you are designed to prosper. This is all part of the plan you have been gifted. You have been blessed with an incredible opportunity and the rest is up to you. Experience the success and the true joy of being able to GIVE. It is time to truly prosper!

Have a fantastic and prosperous week!
